Our Encouraging Senior Volunteerism Programme is an innovate approach to promote ‘purpose fitness’ amongst older adults. We recruit them before retirement, promote age-in-place intergenerational projects, and encourage community participation.
We purposefully design programmes that align with our mission:
ACTIVE | Self Development
How can we encourage older adults to live active and flourishing lifestyles?
CONTRIBUTIVE | Giving to the Community
How can we empower older adults to contribute to the community both socially (e.g. volunteering) and economically (e.g. working in retirement)?
ENGAGED | The Kampung Spirit
How can we encourage older adults to stay connected with neighbour estates? How can they be involved in building lifetime neighbourhoods?
Some of our key community project initiatives include bringing national day celebrations to nursing homes and community hospitals, bridging youths and seniors through our intergenerational mentoring programme, and building a Seniorpreneur community.
