In the book on “Living with the End in Mind”, the author, Koh Buck Song, proposed “life half-time” national event marked every year with a festival of activities. For example, the latest number for 2011 is 80 years for men and 85 for women . So this year, for example, those approaching “life half-time”— all men aged 40 years (80 divided by half) and women aged 42.5 (85 divided by half) would be treated to special seminars and other activities relating to end-of life, while everyone else is encouraged to reflect and plan for themselves too. With such a national “life half-time” event, more people over time would think about their own end-of-life plans. What are your views? Should ACES Club initiate this event and how would you like to be involved?
